Dua Lipa is a Brit musician and singer who was from London United Kingdom on August 22nd, 1995. Her self-titled debut was released in 2017 after she had signed with Warner Bros Records. The album climbed to number. 3 in the U.K. Charts. The album had eight songs released such as Be the 1 I.D.G.A.F. as well as New Rules. In the United States it peaked as sixth in the charts. Lipa received her Brit Awards in the year 2018 for British Female Solo Artist as well as British Breakthrough Act. Her album has been certified platinum across the globe in a variety of countries. Dua Lipa was born on 22nd August 1995 in London to Kosovo Albanian Anesa Rexha, and Dukagjin Lipa. She has Bosnian roots through her grandmother. Her ancestors are also identified back to Peja, the Kosovo town of Peja. The grandparents of Lipa's grandfathers were both history professors. She is the sister of Rina Lipa and an older brother called Gjin. Lipa was influenced musically by her father, who is also the lead guitar player and the singer of The Kosovan the group Oda. His father would play music at home, and included songs by David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead The Police Stereophonics. Lipa started singing when she was five. When she was nine, she learned how to sing. Lipa has performed her cover of If I Am Not Got You and Beautiful by Christina Aguilera, both on YouTube. Lipa signed with Warner Bros. Records a contract in 2014. In August 2015 her first single New Love came out.
